The Chestnuts have a golden-brown cap with white scales. The colour is brighter around the edge of the cap, creating a pleasing gradient. These mushrooms have a nutty flavour that adds depth to meals.
Usage:
No need to peel the skin or discard the stalk, just wipe with a damp cloth prior to cooking. Roast, grill or fry in pasta sauces, stir-fries, risottos, soups, stews, and more.
